India ink drawing on a postcard to Mr and Mrs Köhler-Haussen.9 x 14 cm.
With two Roman postage stamps, adressed "Herrn und Frau Köhler-Haussen, Dresden A, Bankstraße I, Germania!" and inscribed "Herrn und Frau Köhler-Haussen, Herzlichen Dank für Ihren freundlichen Gruss. Von Italiens Frauen und anderen Schönheiten werde ich Ihnen manches erzählen können. Herzlichen Gruss, Ihr E. Heckel." [AR].
- Postcard with a small drawinf from Rome. - Erich Heckel reports about Italy's beauties. - The Brücke-Museum in Berlin has many works from this creative period.
The work is registered in the Erich Heckel Estate, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Mrs Renate Ebner and Mr Hans Geissler for the kind support in cataloging this lot.
